SylvaGrow used in local school initiative – ‘School Food Matters’

Our Logistics Manager James Harriss was delighted to visit the recent Stroud Shambles market where three local primary schools were selling the plants and vegetables they had grown in SylvaGrow donated by Melcourt.

He was especially interested as his own school, Leonard Stanley C of E Primary was taking part. £361 in total was raised with this wonderful initiative by charity School Food Matters whose aim is to teach children about food and to improve their access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school.

The money raised will be donated to The Long Table, a community interest company whose aim is to make locally sourced and lovingly prepared food available to everyone, regardless of their social or financial background.
